Arignar Anna Zoological Park commonly known as Vandalur Zoo is located in the southwestern outskirts of Chennai, India. It is one of the largest Zoological garden in India spreading over a vast area of about 602 hectares. The Zoo houses a wide variety of exhibits including Tiger, leopard, lion, wild dog, Chimpanzee, Hippopotamus, lion-tailed macaque, Indian bison, barking deer, spotted deer, crocodile, snakes, birds etc.
There is an exclusive exhibit for Nocturnal Animals, burrowers, Snakes etc. There is also a Lion Safari which helps the visitors to have a closer look on the lions in the wilderness. Zoo includes an Aquarium which houses many aquatic species in a closed Exhibit.
